Mercedes-Benz S-Class Inspection and diagnostics of DPF .

The car is still the same no work was done but charged £178.00 the information I got I already know the car is still not fixed dpf filter still blocked there was a small crack which could have been fix with exhaust putty no work was carried out

Hello Tony.
As explained to you on completion of job the DPF filter is damaged due to being blocked and the back pressure that has been created has bust a pipe . I deducted the price of the DPF cleaner from your bill as I could not clean the filter . Using exhaust putty is not the correct procedure for filling a hole in the DPF , it will require welding or a new replacement.
To carry out a regeneration the car needs to be running , as my report stated the vehicle would not idle to complete this . You were charged for inspection of the DPF , Diagnostics and labour and informed the vehicle would need recovered to a workshop.
