Apart from a quick text prior to collection to confirm the address there has been no communication at all unless I initiated it. The vehicle was made available for the whole day, but then was kept overnight without any explanation, necessitating us to make alternative arrangements. Phone calls that night went straight through to answerphone, and on speaking to someone the following morning I was told that it was still being worked on.
Extra work was carried out without authorisation and was charged at nearly £127, again without authorisation. I do not dispute that the extra work was needed and would have consented to it being done had the mechanic had the decency to contact me first. The shock of finding this extra £127 charge on my bank has made me question the wisdom of giving credit card details prior to the work being done.

Kevin and his assistant kept me posted prior to their arrival and arrived to replace the front discs & brakes on my car within the stated time slot. Despite horrendous weather they carried out the repair outside of my home in a timely and thorough manner. Kevin also did a diagnostic test to find the cause of an engine management light that was illuminated. The price quoted for the job was certainly fair too. A polite and reliable car mechanic that comes to your door the following day.............what's not to love?

I’m very happy with the mechanic. However I’m sure when I looked at this site within the last year it did used to provide a more thorough inspection with a itemised list of what was inspected.
