I had maz from Sheffield. Top bloke excellent communication turned up to the garage and apparently the dealership had sold it that day even though he was looking at it on the forecourt for sale. Only charged me a small amount for the call out charge which is to be expected. He also gave me some pointers on what to buy and where from. He's a top bloke and a credit to have linked with click mechanic

please note the Machanic said cas module needed replacing 101% when it only needed immoboliser resetting nearly cost us £800 if we had listened to him and you should know the rest
Reply from Maz:
The car was already in bits as the customers son had been working on it! I advised customer did your son touch any of the wires that were from DME to CAS module customer said no so I went ahead using ISTA BMW software and attempted to reset module but was a communication error. I advised customer to tell your son to check the wiring when he removed the manifold and make sure as customer did not want to pay 3 hours labour for me to do it...
Most likely the son did check and was some wiring he must have not connected most likely 'the communication wires I had talked about' and then it would have rested.
Overall I told customer to check the wiring first before ordering any parts and to prevent a fire or explosion in his house to NOT charge a AGM battery with a constant supply charger.
