Really pleased with the final outcome. I originally took the car to two local garages for an exhaust issue. One quoted over £2,000 before VAT and labour to replace sections, while another said the rear section needed replacing but couldn’t source the part.
I then found ClickMechanic and booked Brooklyn Auto Centre to replace the middle and rear exhaust sections for considerably less. There were some delays with the original collection date and the job took a little longer than expected, but once they inspected the car they told me the replacements were actually unnecessary and that the exhaust could simply be repaired by welding — which is what I had originally hoped could be done.
They repaired it, collected and returned the car, and after I queried the original invoice they quickly arranged the appropriate refund. The final cost was only £179.54.
I really appreciated that they didn’t replace expensive parts unnecessarily just because I had already authorised the work. Very happy with the repair and the honesty of the garage. I would happily use them again.
