I was advised I had a knocked engine, I asked several times for a more specific explanation but eas shown that wrench would not turn the crank shaft. I wanted to know what had caused the issue but was told I needed to strip the engine down to identify the issue.

I was happy with what our mechanic did which was our timing belt kit, water pump, and auxiliary belt, he arrived at 0805 am and was ready to leave by 10.20 which surprised me as it was so much quicker than the 3-4 hrs labour time quoted, until i realized that he never bothered draining / changing the coolant / antifreeze he left the old stuff in and just topped it up with different stuff to what was in the system which then put a froth on my expansion tank cap. he kept saying he doesn't have to change it. and said he was leaving. so i said fine you go and will get in touch with yourselves because in says on my invoice that your charging me for coolant / antifreeze as well as he other work, then he stayed and drained the coolant and put some new coolant in it, then took it for a test drive and we rechecked the expansion cap and it was clear again. i just hope he has changed the water pump as I've been told if he did change it then all the coolant should of drained out.
