Steve is quietly confident. It's brilliant to get someone who really enjoys the challenge! Steve tried many methods of opening the car door which wouldn't unlock due to a flat battery. He was very helpful and informative. Great job!

Friendly but if you have any follow up question, don't even ask. Never responded to my question after he got paid, told me at the time what it could be but said take it to a garage and they can tell you what it is. Thougt that what I was paying him for. He Put a photo on the booking what he thinks it is, asked for more information got no reply. Click mechanic as much help as a wet paper bag when I asked for help sorting my issue. I quote. Any issues take it up with the mechanic, would do but he don't answer questions. Would not use the service again.

Steve Davis (Automobile Diagnostics Specialist) was excellent - he was thorough in completing a diagnostic test which unfortunately proved to be of an intermittent nature and so was difficult to pin down as the fault cleared whilst Steve was carrying out his tests. Never-the-less he was able to identify a big clue which was that there was only 8V input voltage going into the alternator. This according to Steve indicated a probable high-resistance wire in the wiring loom which he advised would need a Ford dealer to actually pin down. He said he wouldn't therefore replace the alternator and the associated serpentine belt as the alternator itself was probably okay. Steve gave me honest advice, that I accepted, and that saved me a large unnecessary expenditure replacing the alternator and belt without any evidence to prove it would indeed solve the intermittent charging issue.
