Springfield Garage confirmed booking and phoned to clarify.
20 minutes later they rang back informing me that they had a slot and would be able to fit me in.
Dropped car off they did the repairs and also gave me a MoT over view telling me if anything needed replacing or repairing.
Have used them a few times would really recommend

Very good very efficient gave me some good advice for free. Significantly cheaper than many garages but the quality better. No hesitation in using them and have shared all the details with my friends. Came to the house collected the car and returned when finished.

My mechanic was friendly and did a great job. Timings were a bit out, but I'd already said it didn't matter.. it was a very busy day. MOT and service all done and car collected and delivered all as promised. Good job!

I dropped the car off rather than the garage come and get it as it turned out it was only 5 mins out of my way on the way home from work anyway.
I was made to feel welcome and offered a drink . I was having a fuel filter changed and there was a problem when their parts supplier sent the wrong model. But one of the guys went straight out and was back with the correct one with in 20 mins . So overall i was happy with the service.

They did a really thorough job, highlighted other areas of concern and solutions to the problems with brilliant honest advice and explained well with the options available. The work was done promptly too.

I was booked in between 8 - 10 am, Friday, for an MOT and interim service. The person who called me was friendly. However, they called me the day before the work, saying that person who would have picked up my car wasn't available so they wouldn't be able to arrive between the time arranged. He asked if I would be willing to drive to the garage. I explained that I used CM in order to avoid time spent driving and waiting around. The mechanic said that they could collect my car at a later time, likely after 2pm. I accepted this.
The mechanic called mid afternoon the next day, saying that they had sent someone to pick up my car and they would arrive in about thirty minutes. However, they took two hours. My car was returned in the early evening. I was handed the MOT certificate with the printing barely legible. I was told that the reports would be sent by email. They weren't, so I messaged the mechanic from the CM website on Monday, and only decided to leave feedback after not receiving a reply.
I found my service report on the CM website which indicates that the service was completed but there are no notes or advisories from the mechanic, which is remarkable given that there were a number in previous years, which haven't been corrected. I'm still waiting for the MOT report. Until I get proper documentation, I can only assume that the work was rushed, and bits were skipped or not carried out at all.
I wouldn't recommend skip mechanic based on this job. However, the the previous two were fine. Read more
