The mechanic came on time and he tried to sort out the issue. However, he was in a hurry to go for an appointment with his solicitor. The car would not start and his computer indicated an immobiliser issue. He mentioned spark plugs but it would have taken time to change them. Thus, he did not check them out. The RAC mechanic identified the problem the next day, and the car now runs perfectly after the whole set was changed out. As Halfords is close by, that could easily have been sorted the first time, had he gone ahead in a systematic way.
