I would like to be clear before I start. This review is not particularly aimed at the mechanic it is with regards to clickmachanic. My car was leaking coolant. I provided a description of the symptoms and requested a diagnostic check. From the information I provided the machanic clearly felt it was appropriate to attend to look at this with a view to fixing it. This was £40. The machanic arrived on time. Looked under the car and told me the radiator was leaking and the car would need a new one. At the garage. He then left. This was a five minute job. I got charged the full £40 for this service. Had I have taken the car to a garage this would have been free. I feel that if the symptoms of the problem would suggest that a diagnistic check would not be suitable then really the site/ mechanic should be sugesting that the check would not be suitable. Seems like a very easy way to make money out of people and is a bit underhanded.
I contacted customer services. Their response was poor and disorganised. They refused to issue a refund stating that the visit factors in travel time and fuel costs for the mechanic also. Now, one of the first things you will notice on the site is that they advertise their mechanics come you for no extra charge. THEY DON'T. You pay alot for that service. I then received a quote for the work to be carried out which was at least £30 more than other quotes I received from other sites. Finally they agreed to drop the price to factor in the lack of service and price I had already paid.
In the end I invested £8 in some redweld which appears to have plugged what I can only assume was a minor leak. Better than the £270 I was quoted.
I have since used WhoCanFixMyCar. This is another comparison site. They are better on every level. I found them to be well priced and trustworthy. The service I received from their machanic was faultless.
Based on my experience I would advise anyone not to use this site. Go to one of their competitors.

I did not receive the service ordered on the Click Mechanic website. The website should never have accepted this order and placed it with this Mechanic as they were not able to provide the service ordered. Feedback has been supplied directly to the Mechanic and to Click Mechanic so that others are not misled by the website in future.

He was great and told me exactly what the car needed. Saved me loads of money. I didn't buy the car and was so glad I had the check done. And much cheaper than AA!

The experience was good, the job seems to have been well done. Service was friendly and timely. Job did incur some extra expense which was not communicated until the car was returned but to be fair the garage did not charge full extra.

The entire experience was swift and professional - All thanks to this mechanic. Would recommend 100%. Thankyou.

Sajid had the pre purchase inspection done on a 2010 x5. The car looked spotless and clean however he uncovered a deliberate disconnection of the airbag system to the ecu and the light of airbag on the ignition screen taken out!!! That has obviously saved me a good couple of grand. Money absolutely well worth spent. Click mechanic-great job done.
