Bill was over 30 minutes late over the allocated 2 hour time slot. He took the car which was booked in for a full service at a cost of £207 but found the brakes to be in a bad condition. I was quoted approx £340-360 for the parts + 2 hours labour. The total bill came to £847, including the service, I was
a bit shocked. However, the motor was returned by Bill, who was very friendly, professional & polite. When I drove the car the following day there was quite a loud 'clanking' noise coming from the car. I phoned A1 Autos and they were great, Bill came & collected the car the next day and was all fixed and due to a manufacturers faulty part and it was returned, all done in a very quick turn around.

Very friendly, arrived 30min early to collect the car but called beforehand to ensure it wouldn’t be a problem. However, said the repair would take a couple of hours but it took more like 5hrs.

The mechanic had a natural friendly manner but arrived nearly 30mins outside the £25 slot indicated in the earlier email but he did phone when already 5 mins late to inform me that he was on his way. Having had troubles with Thames Water and TFL the previous day I was wondering if anything works as agreed these days. He later phoned me to say that a service warning was overdue which gave us a chuckle re fiddling the message options. ANYWAY the brakes work well and when my MOT/Service is actually due in January I shall get a quote from you before anyone else. What sort of notice should I give you for an early January booking?.
