Friendly guy but he was given the wrong part by the shop and had no idea what to do next. Just explained it was the wrong part and went home

I am sorry you felt that way.
I did explain that both citroen and euro car parts(where i purchased the part) both confirmed that it was the correct part and showed the old one was also the same size however the previous mechanic done a dodgy job, which caused the fault and you wanted me to do it that way but i refused to do it that way. Its a little unfair for you to say i had no idea or that i just explained that 'it was wrong parts and went home' when i spent an hour and half trying to find a solution. Plus the parts store was then closed to even get anything. Plus its also a little unfair to expect me to come and do the job straight away when i have other customers booked for the time you wanted.
I hope you car gets up and running quickly
