Ashley was fantastic, couldn't fault him. It's the billing that baffles me. For the shock absorbers I was quoted £450ish and the hand brake cables all fitted took it to £650. I didn't have the cables fitted and you still charged me for them. The mechanic didn't leave them, so why was I charged for them.

Ashley was great, very professional and get on with the job despite the freezing cold temperatures! I had a timing belt for a VW Tiguan and a service done. Highly recommend Ashley.

No hassle seamless service from start to finish. Ashley contacted me the evening before he replaced the ERG valve and arrived the following day at the time agreed. He was happy to answer any questions I had and proceed to carry out the work competently and didn't encounter any problems. We did a road test and all was well. The mechanic was friendly and knowledgeable, although he had never actually worked on my type of car before. He was earlier than expected, but phoned and asked if it was ok to come early, which was ok.
The only issue I had was with the scope of work passed down to him, although he came prepared anyway. I had a full service booked and my car has 3 cylinders but 6 spark plugs. However the work passed to him was only to change 3 spark plugs, which was all that was costed for. Why would you do that - that should be looked at for future reference? Although a fixed price job he had to charge extra for the 3 additional spark plugs, which luckily he had brought with him in case. The Smart manual recommends to remove the rear bumper to replace the spark plugs but he managed to find a way to do it without taking the bumper off, which was good. Read more
