Vauxhall Insignia Clutch slave cylinder replacement

Car was not repaired. It is now a right off. Problem with gear box should have been diagnosed before work had started on the clutch. Cost of repairs now has to written off.

Evening Anthony,
Unfortunately we can not take the blame for the diagnosis of the vehicle as we were not requested by yourself to carry out a diagnosis and therefore should have been requested and before you requested the slave cylinder to be replaced. To add to this we informed you of the clutch pedal being on the floor and that the clutch would need to need to be replaced at the same time when we arrived to the vehicle. We also showed you the condition of the old clutch plate and slave cylinder. Unfortunately we can not be held accountable for this as the damage was caused before we replaced anything and we only replaced components when agreed upon by yourself.
Unfortunately parts have been replaced and labour has been carried out so unfortunately costs of the repair can not be written off. In future can you please use the diagnostic line so any confusion can be avoided.
