BMW 4 Series Brake pads replacement - front (all)

After being 45 mins to an agreed changed time to help the mechanic out. The fitting of the break pads were fine considering it was pitch black.
Was told the break pad warning will go after a few miles while it “resets”. 100 miles later the warning light is still on and now I’m being told a main dealer can only remove this despite being told otherwise when I asked the question before the mechanic attended.

Thank you very much for your review.
As I explained to you about the brake warning light which is due to a wiring fault on the other end of the sensor holder which we can't do on a driveway but needs to be put it on the ramp and check the wiring connection to find out the issue.
Such 9 out of 10 jobs like these are straight forward without any issues.
Also, any permanent faults stored, cannot be undone unless by the main dealer which you understand would cost you a lot.
We're still happy to help you out if there's anything we can do within our limits.
Punctuality:
Finally, your slot has been booked between 6-8 pm yesterday but, on our way to your location, we were informed by you that the wheel locking nut was missing and you couldn't find it (ALTHOUGH YOU TICKED YES- IN YOUR QUESTION & ANSWER PART)
Then, we both decided to go back to the workshop as we wouldn't be able to remove the wheel and replace the pads if you lost your wheel nut.
However, after about 20 minutes, you called me again that you found it somewhere. It's not really easy and convenient to make our appointment intact-on time due to the heavy traffic in the evening & locking nut confusion.
Still we managed to complete your work to a higher standard possible in the dark cold drizzling weather.
I don't think anyone can make it on time after such confusions on the route.

Friendly don’t get me wrong there but spend a grand with him to get car though it’s MOT only to find two days later my car is being recovered from Cornwall on a recovery truck as my front brakes are metal on metal and my discs are now u/s needed brakes all round as rear was just touching metal on metal and just 500 miles after MOT
