Outstanding service and dedication from Wasif at SWH Automotive Ltd! I cannot recommend SWH Automotive Ltd in Luton highly enough. My Kia failed its MOT on twin handbrake cables. When Wasif picked it up, he discovered a major issue: the rear drum brake backing plate had completely rusted through. This meant a big delay, and because the MOT had failed, I couldn't tax the vehicle. Instead of leaving me stranded, Wasif came up with a brilliant solution. He suggested I SORN the car, and he safely parked it off the road on his own property while we sorted out the parts. Since Kia no longer manufactures these backing plates, it took two weeks of searching to find one from a breakers yard. Wasif handled all of this hassle for me. As soon as the part arrived, it was installed the same day. Wasif even sent me a photo to show the car had passed its MOT. To my pleasant surprise, they also cleaned the car inside and out before collection. While there was an extra charge for the unexpected additional work, I was more than happy to pay it. Wasif, the mechanic, was friendly and knowledgeable, he took video of the vehicle before setting off to the garage. I was advised what needed doing on inspection before repairs were started.

My car was serviced on 27 June and immediately developed serious faults. Wrong spark plugs were fitted, the coil was damaged, and an independent mechanic confirmed the plugs were not even suitable for my Peugeot. On 14 July, the car broke down again with “engine oil pressure low,” and AA confirmed the wrong oil had been used. I have video evidence and reports proving all of this.
I’ve been escalating this to ClickMechanic since 29 June and still haven’t received proper support. It’s clear they do not vet their mechanics properly, leaving customers exposed to cowboy workmanship and expensive damage. If you value your car, avoid this platform. Read more
