This is simply a scam. David has been able to accept a job, mark it complete and then pay himself without leaving his sofa. The click mechanic processes, do not protect customers from financial fraud in cases like this. Further, the pre-approved payments mean that you are susceptible to further fraud as they marked as recurring on the VISA portal.

My advice for this mechanic is as follows:

Report the crime to the police
Report the fraud to your bank
Report the company to trading standards
Start a small claims court dispute

Don't use clickmechanic until they introduce security measures to the payment process which means the mechanic has to visit you to get payment approval.

I don’t know David Jameson of Ace elite autos. Didn’t show. As for clickmechanic why did you give my bank details to someone who hadn’t done a job to get paid. Why wasn’t I emailed or better still rang. Which for some reason I can find a number? To ask me was the job done. And also do you look at the reviews the garage has before you get a mechanic from them? Also I’d wished found the garage he works for has got a terrible reputation. 2.4 stars. All say no body turns up for the job and when they do it’s no good and you then can’t complain. Because nobody answers the phone.

The mechanic was booked in for Saturday between 8am to 10am but they never turned up so I missed a second day at work which I had to take unpaid.
Very disappointed and wouldn't use click mechanic again.

Never turned up to complete the work and ClickMechanic enabled him to take the funds from my bank the night before the job was due to be complete.

Ian then claimed a thief broke into his van and logged onto his tablet and signed into his ClickMechanic account accepted multiple job requests and then withdrew the payments from his ClickMechanic account to his business bank account.

When questioned about this truly unbelievable story I was asked “Who the **** do you think you are?”

Ian then proceeded to refuse issuing me with a refund because he doesn’t know how to refund through Stripe payment gateway.

Mechanic never turned up. After trying to contact them several times recieve a message to say they will be picking the vehicle up 2 days later. Job cancelled.

They never came. The job was marked as completed at 01:00 this morning way before they were even meant to arrive between 08:00 and 10:00. Myself and my dad had called multiple times to question what was happening and we've had no response. I have sent messages and now have evidence of all of this as a scam, this is going to my bank for investigation as the payment has been taken out and gone into pending.

Top bloke. Really friendly, helpful, told me exactly what to expect and was bob on in terms of timing. Couldn't have asked for better.

A good sound mechanic who can be trusted, very happy with the repair, only spent half a day on the repair and stayed while i tested the car, gave good advice and would use again.
