The car was picked up in morning and driven away by the mechanic. I received a phone call in the afternoon about the time I was expecting the car back to say they had discovered more work needed doing to the car and that the car would not be back till the next day. I asked the mechanic to just carry out the work I had originally booked because the additional work would have cost an additional £1100. The car was returned the next day by the mechanic but didn’t stay for me to have a test drive. The work I had instructed was to change the clutch so I was keen to drive the car to see the difference My drive started and finished very abruptly because as soon as I depressed the clutch the slightest, the engine stalled because the pedal had not been adjusted for the new clutch. I had to get my local mechanic to adjust the clutch pedal before going for another test drive. This time I had a lovely drive and the car like it was when I bought it 17 years ago. The only bad point I can make is that the clutch pedal should have been adjusted but apart from that, I am happy with the work. Read more
