Our car broke down due to EGR valve, which needed replacing.
Got a quote from clickmechanic.com and got Camron Pilcher aka CPR autos.

We paid him £645 to replace the EGR valve.

He fitted a reconditioned EGR valve, and then left without even checking that it or the car worked. didn't even ask us to take it for a drive before he left.

Needless to say it wasn't fixed and the car broke down on the M26 with my wife and kids in it, where they were then stuck for 2 hours waiting for green flag.

We have had 2 independent reports, 1 by the greenflag mechanic who picked up the Car and one by our usual Garage.

Both have confirmed the EGR valve is faulty and Camron's shoddy work. In fact, the Garage has said they don't know how he could have even replaced it without having the car up on a ramp and feel that it may still be the original valve in the car.

All communication with Camron via click mechanic was riddled with deceit and lies.

He tried sending us a screenshot from a website showing the price for a brand new egr valve and tried to claim that is what he paid for it.

Plus lots of double talking, denial, contradiction and accusing us of saying things we never said etc.

He takes no responsibility for his work and claims it is not his job to check that the parts he uses actually work or that the car works or is even drivable after he fits them.

the total bill was £645

We managed to get a partial refund (£250 for labour) out of him while we waited for the report from the garage, but nothing more, so that is still £400 down the toilet.

Driving the car with the faulty valve also caused additional damage, which would have been even more expensive to fix, as well as still needing to replace the faulty valve.
