Skoda Fabia II Plug-in Diagnostic Inspection

Gordon didn't realise my car had an electric/hydraulic pump and I don't think his laptop software had the capability of finding the fault. I had a second opinion from the RAC who's diagnostic laptop was far superior, he was able to identify the fault and also reset some old error codes.

thanks for the review , sorry for my lap top not being able to find the fault but we don't all have 2,ooo pounds plus to spend on diagnostic equipment , I did what I could with what I had

Peugeot 206 Car Won't Start Inspection

Gordon diagnosed the problem in about 10 mins, He said it was the fuel pump. I then bought a fuel pump which cost me £77.00 including vat. Brand new from euro car parts. I had the pump fitted, and the car is still not working. So I am annoyed with the expensive outlay which has not worked. Also I feel 10 minutes is not really carrying out a proper inspection. Your company says the labour was for 0.9 hours. Are you going to send another mechanic out for the remaining labour due? I think you have a good business and are quick to send them out, but I respect fairness and I feel let down. Please reply, thanks Ed Billingham.

Dear customer
The time taken on your vehicle was longer than the time you have stated plus there is also the travel time to take into account to and from your address , I inspected the fuel system , removing fuel pipe from the filter turning ing on to check fuel flow from the tank to filter and there was none , so I then checked the fuel pump relay and could hear it clicking on and of when ing was turned on. Leading to the diagnosis of faulty fuel pump ,which is a common fault on this model of vehicle and in my experience 98% of the time it is the pump that is u/s.
Also as far as my lap top with a flat battery is concerned it is in constant use and can go flat at any time it is after all a computer .

First time user and couldn't be more impressed. From the moment I went onto the site the process was easy and communication, second to none. The ease that you can book a mechanic and your time slot is great. I booked late on NYD and from that moment are allotted mechanic, Gordon, kept in touch with us and informing us of problems getting the part on a NY bank holiday. When he did get the part, the day after, he was punctual, courteous and very knowledgeable. In essence, I would thoroughly recommend using click mechanic to anyone. A fantastic service.
