Great mechanic, the spotted another issue whilst carrying out the work and fixed this as well. A proper old style workshop where skilled people get things fixed.

My mechanic was a friendly person who had another person with him who translated for him, they arrived within the time period, he looked at the job which was a track rod end replacement, he couldn’t loosen the track rod end to start with so told me he would have to cut it off, meaning sawing the steering rack off which I know did not need doing, I explained to the other person who was with him when I used to repair cars we used to have to warm the track rod end to loosen it because of rust build up, that was then translated back to the mechanic and he did just that and got the track rod off with no problems, the part was replaced and sorted very quickly after that, however I started hearing a noise once we had drove to Cornwall when I looked the mechanic hadn’t tightened the track rod end nut.

Yes the car feels like new again. Really really friendly service will definitely go back again.
