What a wonderful service... The first time I have used it. Nothing is more tedious than dropping a car to a garage/mechanic for work, then having to arrange to get back home then return later to collect. My Mini was collected on time from my home, had new brakes fitted all round, then returned to me within a very reasonable timespan. Not a moment of my day had been wasted. I shall definitely be using the services of ClickMechanic again!

Volkswagen Transporter Major Service

Some of the stuff on the major service items listed on click mechanic simply wasn’t done. Left it until nearly 5pm to tell me the MOT was a fail despite me booking a morning slot for the service. The bits it failed on should have shown in the service so it shouldn’t have been put in only to fail. Also advised overdue on a belt replace, but it isn’t due on this engine for another 10k according to industry guidance. Put the repairs required through direct rather than through click as I was over a barrel to get the van back asap. I’ll stick with my regular garage in future.

Thank you for your review, I can assure you when your vehicle was serviced it was done to the inspection sheet, however the failed items on the MOT which states the play in the rear bushes would only be identified on MOT test equipment. The corrosion of the outer casings on the rear shocks was noted by our service team but was passed by the MOT Inspector. It was also noted on the service the front offside caliper was seized. Our team did try to free the caliper off, however this did still require new caliper as it failed its brake test and reseized on the rolling road at the test.
When we collected the Van in the morning we did inform you that the MOT was not until 4pm.
Due to the fact all our MOT's are carried out off site at a third party garage. Therefore when your vehicle had completed its test it was 4.45pm hence the call at 5pm stating it had failed.
The advise of the cambelt was taken from the industry standards called Autodata and this does state that the cambelt should be changed in 2022 as the recommended time frame is mileage and years. On a VW this is a 10 year period and your van had its 10th Birthday in 2022. Meaning it is now overdue by 1 year on age not mileage.
We are sorry you felt unfairly treated and we wish you well for the future.

Excellent service, Chris from the garage went out of his way to ensure that my working day wasn't impacted, coming out of hours to collect the car keys.. they then did the job and delivered the car back and dropped the keys through my letter box, can't fault them at all

I didn’t meet the mechanic who did the work but the paperwork for the service and M.O.T. Is all in order. Carl who picked my car up from my home was most pleasant, with a good sense of humour. Explained about the work that was done and a few jobs that were recommended. . Very pleased.
