He turned up within the time slot, the fix was complete within the hour so everything went just as I expected. We spoke for maybe a few minutes before he started the work on my car and certainly came across as some one nice to deal with. On the whole, a nice experience and I would have no problems asking him to complete more work on my car if something else breaks.
