I initially wanted to get only the brake pads replaced but oliver took the time to check last MOT which mentioned that discs were damaged too. I adder them to my booking too.

Had a water pump fitted and the mechanic then told me that the pipe from the pump to the thermostat was leaking and advised not to drive the car! On having to pay again the for a mechanic to fit a new pipe he advised that the pipe wasn’t leaking due to a fault but actually broken from the 1st mechanic refitting it to the pump! So a job that was £299 turned out to be £599
