Turned up on time to inspect vehicle at the seller's home. The mechanic phoned me promptly after inspection and talked me through a number of problems he'd identified (many of which I hadn't noticed when I saw the vehicle two days before). As a result, I decided not to buy the vehicle - almost certainly saving a good deal of hassle and cost going forward.
