The mechanic arrived punctually, so no complaints there. The communication skills left something to be desired. The mechanic was busy on his mobile phone taking calls on a couple of occasions and seemed generally a bit disinterested. Wasnt great at answering questions either.

We turned to Clickmechanic because our fanbelt broke stranding us on a trip to London and it seemed like a way to avoid the hassle of being towed to an unknown garage (even though that would be covered by insurance). My only criticism would be that the Clickmechanic system took longer than expected to locate a mechanic willing to do the job (maybe it was too small a job) and then it confirmed the mechanic's appointment before they had the parts; but then the mechanic had difficulty getting the right fanbelt so they had to cancel and reschedule the appointment while I sourced the parts from Europart myself the next day. In mitigation; it seems the Europart counter staff use a different parts database than the public on the web and I too found it hard to locate the part online until I visited the counter in person. However the communication from the mechanic and with Clickmechanic about it was very good. Once that was all sorted, everything was fine. Bearing this in mind I think Clickmechanic is a great idea and I would recommend it for things like scheduled services as one very positive point is you have an estimate on cost before you've gone to the trouble of getting an appointment. Quick diagnosis. Seemed thorough and looked for other potential problems before concluding. Would use the service again.

Simple and easy to book. Mechanic was Punctual, thorough and Transparant with what he was doing. We've managed to narrow down the fault to a few potentials.
