M.A.N. TGE Premium Pre-purchase Inspection

Our premium pre-purchase inspection did not pick up the fact the radiator has a crack and now needs replacing , a blown bulb and a chip in the windscreen - not impressed to say the least!
However, his communication other than that was spot on and very efficient and friendly, however I'd prefer not to now be faced with massive repair bill

I don’t understand your review especially after receiving this text message from you after you returned home in the vehicle that evening “ Hi mike, thanks so much for your thorough and prompt inspection. We love it😁”. As you stated I carry out a thorough inspection, actually doing more than is required on the check list. I’m sorry that your vehicle has devolved a leak, I carry out two additional tests / checks on the cooling system which are not part of the Click Inspection check list. First a pressure test to detect any leaks and secondly a Block Teat which tests for combustion gasses in the cooling system, this is to ensure there are no head gasket issues.
It passed both these tests with no issues, it also has a coolant level sensor in the header tank and this would have come on in the dash display to indicate a low coolant level either on my road test or on your way home if there was a leak present at the time of inspection. The vehicle has air conditioning and all vehicles fitted with A/C do leak condensate underneath the vehicle, this is not an issue and many people confuse this with a coolant leak. As for a chip in the windscreen, upon inspection there was no chip visible and this can be seen in the front image of the van, the seller informed me that both you and your husband spent an hour looking over the vehicle before you drove it away, surely you would have picked this up at the time ? As for a blown bulb upon inspection all lights were working fine, unfortunately a bulb can blow at anytime even after a car has just passed its MOT. I did call the seller to raise your concern and he was also shocked as he said the vehicle had not been used for several months and he had it in the garage to have some work done (brakes, tyres, number plates, wiper blades) and told them to fix whatever it needed before it was sold, if had been leaking then they also would have picked it up.
I do think your review is rather unfair as I carry out many inspections and other work for customers and I always receive excellent feedback for my work as I go above and beyond for my customers and this is evident in all my previous reviews . On a closing note the seller did inform me that you contacted him but did not raise any issues with him only asking for the paint code.

Mike was brilliant. He collected my car, carried out its MOT and service, and delivered it back to me. He's very friendly, very experienced and knowledgeable, and always does an outstanding job. He's also always punctual and reliable. I highly recommend him. This is the second time he's worked on my car and he'll always be my first choice for any repairs and future servicing and MOTs. He's a real treasure!

Volkswagen Golf Noise When Starting Inspection

Mike was friendly, reassuring, extremely knowledgeable, very experienced and professional. After taking my car for a test drive he was able to diagnose the strange rattling noise I'd noticed as being a problem with my front brakes. He explained everything very clearly without being patronising or blinding me with science (I know nothing about cars!). I've accepted his very reasonable quote for doing the work via ClickMechanic and am booked in with him for later this week.
Mike is a pleasure to deal with and I have total confidence in him and his abilities. I will not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.
