I joined the army in 2002 as a tank driver. I carried out my level 1 and 2 NVQ in motor mechanics where I worked on all different types of vehicles from tanks car’s, Land Rover, lorry’s and tractors. When I left the army in 2012 I put myself through level 3 NVQ while working for a company with tipper lorry’s as a workshop manager after that I worked for Volvo and Mercedes and a coach billing company this is when I decided to start my own business as a mobile mechanic that has been running since 2016 I have a vast amount of knowledge of all types of vehicles all my equipment is fully up to date and I carry everything that is needed for any job from a simple light bulb change to an engine rebuild and everything in between.

Lexus IS 220d Diesel particulate filter (DPF) forced regeneration

The car had wrong diagnosted. The mechanic tried to perform a repair in the dpf when the problem was in the egr as shown in the screen. I had to sort it with a different mechanic, who was recommended by him, by the way

Unfortunately I was not the one who carried out an inspection the job you booked me in for was a diesel particulate filter (DPF) forced registration. I carried this out 3 times for you only charging you for the one time I was with your vehicle for 1.5 hours instead of the 45 minutes you paid for trying and burn of the carbon that was clogging up your egr valve when this could not be done I got in touch with a company to help you solve this issue a cheaper way than putting in a new part saving you £500-£700 unfortunately I don’t have or carry every possible type of equipment there is out there. For this reason I past your details on to a company who specialises in this type of work and has this equipment I’m sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you but unfortunately this is not my fault I was only trying to help you .
