Jeep Grand Cherokee Diagnostic Inspection

I had to book a mechanic for a Diagnostic visit even though I knew what the problem was. So that cost me over £70 for nothing.
Dean was prompt and polite.
Having seen what the problem was I could tell he was not keen to do the job.
He later declined the job.
Reply from Dean:
I was booked to do a diagnostic inspection on the vehicle so that’s exactly what I did and found and diagnosed the fault.the diagnostic inspection gives only a limited amount of time as it’s a short booking slot.After diagnosing the vehicle I do not have to take on any follow if we are unavailable or do not wish to take on the work but as we have a network of mechanics the follow on Work will be undertaken by another mechanic.
After spending a few hours after diagnosing the vehicle researching the part and repair procedure I decided another mechanic familiar with this particular job would be better suited to take on the repair as it is quite a complex job on a rare vehicle which I haven’t done on this particular vehicle before.
We have mechanics within our network who are jeep specialists who could carry out the follow on work and who would be better suited to do the repair.I made this decision to ensure the customer gets the optimum service with ClickMechanic,rather than just go ahead and do the job myself.I feel I made a valid and unselfish decision to get the customers vehicle sorted by another mechanic in our network

After working for Ford at the main dealer in Hemel Hempstead I worked for an independent garage,tyre and MOT test centre in Watford called AFG.
Whilst at AFG I spent 3 months working at their sister company Exan autocentre to gain experience in body repairs and spraying.
I've also gained my BTEC National Diploma in Engineering and Operational Maintenance inlcuding electrics,electronics, welding and pneumatics and hydraulics.
My main priority as a mechanic is to do an exceptional job every time ensuring that any vehicles I work on are safe and that my workmanship is of the highest quality. I consider myself a friendly person who is more than happy to talk with customers and evaluate repair options and explain any faults that a vehicle may have.I just genuinely love my job and very much enjoy working with Clickmechanic as I believe that we offer an incredibly good value service which is convenient and simple to use.
