I pride myself on my work making sure I carry out all work to a excellent standard, I have been in the motor trade for 9 years plus. I started at fords as an apprentice and became a fully qualified mechanic/senior technician I also became a MOT tester whilst at fords. I have also worked for BMW previously.

I have recently left the AA which i worked for 6 years as a roadside technician.

I have become a mobile mechanic to carry on my passion for working on cars and giving my customer the best experience and expertise.

Ford Galaxy Starter motor replacement

Ben was great. Did turn up late but that was due to overrunning previous job. He quickly checked diagnosis of issue, was able to replace the part and diagnosed and fixed an additional issue as well. Made sure I checked the repair before he left. Was really knowledgeable and friendly. I would trust him to fix my parents car - no higher praise than that!

Ben was fantastic, he even tried to save me money by letting me know that the car should still be under the manufacturers warranty which I did enquire to but unfortunately it did not pan out. After asking Ben for a quote for the works I very quickly got a response and arranged for the works to be done. Some mishaps occurred through no fault to Ben he completed the works and even did my tyre pressure for me. All ready for the MOT.

Vauxhall Astra GTC EGR valve replacement

Ben replaced 2 EGR valves so he says, charged more for the job than quoted which i didnt mind, except the fault still exists. He now basically has been paid for not doing the job correctly and not fixing the problem stating there must be any issue elsewhere. Had 2 seperate independent diagnostics by kwik fit and AA both found the EGR valve the problem which had supposedly been replaced twice ??? Escalated to click mechanic they did nothing and doesnt look like they honour their 1 year warranty either, use this mechanic and web site at your own risk they use incompetent mechanics and take no responsibility for the work carried out so their warranty is worthless all click mechanic will do is leave you out of pocket with a vehicle not fixed and no way of getting issue resolved. Now seeking legal advice

Hello Terry I'm sorry to hear that your un happy with the repair that was carried out this is not what I stride for but you booked for someone to come thru clickmechanic to replace your EGR valve that you had diagnosed elsewhere.

I attended and checked the code was still the same as what Kwik fit had diagnosed then proceeded to replace your EGR in accordance to the manufacturer procedure which included re learning the EGR.

After few days you advised the EML light was on so I re attended on a warranty (no charge) check and found EGR code again which was same from when kwik fit had diagnosed the EGR at fault.


So I decided this was possibly due to a faulty part as on my road test after replacing all was working correctly, due to the make that was originally supplied not being available I offered to get the next make up and yourself to just pay for the difference in price from original which we did, then after few days you advised the light was back on so I advised their must be a further issue causing this fault and its possibly due to a incorrect diagnosis by kwik fit.

I advised that due to you requesting us for just the replacement of the component in question and not for us to diagnoses we can't take responsibility for the diagnosis from kwik fit being incorrect and I was happy to attend to carry out a full diagnostic Inspection to find this issue and solve the fault at a cost which you declined.

I have carried out the Job you requested following all procedures set out by the manufacture and by clickmechanic and have followed the warranty procedure set out and their is no more I can do so I do find this review unfair as I didn't diagnose your vehicle wrong nor did I fix your car in a poor or incorrect way and the issues your complaining about is not related to anything I have carried out.
