The mechanic arrived half an hour late. He appeared in a Volkswagen Golf with a jack in the boot. He jacked up the car and then said it would need a new master brake cylinder or ABS cylinder. He said he would call me back that afternoon and arrange for the car to be taken to a garage on Monday. I have not heard from him since. He was at my house for about 15 minutes. I have made other arrangements now.
