The guy went and checked an Audi A3 in a garage in London so I did not meet him. I did try to communicate to him the day before raising some concerns about the car - no response. I was sent the report and the payment was taken - again no follow up conversation regarding the car. The report did say that the engine management light was on and he gave me a code. I had no idea if this was serious and I had to do my own homework regarding the fault. As it turns out it is serious so I did not buy the car. I am sure your machanic did what was asked of him by your company. The only thing I would suggest is if a possible major fault does exist on a car then a telephone conversation might be in order rather than it being - other things to note; 2 bad tyres and an engine management fault! Never again.
