Avoid had a terrible experience were friendly can’t fault that we booked in for a change of discs and pads for our Touareg after having a brake inspection done at kwikfit after our check brake pads light flashed up on dashboard they found that our discs and brake pads were worn and needed replacing we found ClickMechanic who found dean they were very confident that they could do it even though before works commenced I explained multiple times that kwikfit wouldn’t touch a Touareg or an Audi Q7 due to the electric handbrake and they reassured me they could do the works this was at 17.15 told me he could do it in time only takes around an hour and a half. They then ran me saying the car
will be done in 15/20 mins but there was an issue with the electrics on arrival the guy (not dean) the issues I asked does it work he said yes just the lights just flash up he told me he’s driven it’s its all fine just maybe needs to have a look at it for a couple hours to diagnose the problem. Told me it was safe to drive this was not the case. My mrs drove down the road and called me on the speaker saying she couldn’t make the car stop I immediately tested it myself and this is where it all start mistakes happen I know it’s business. I called dean and explain my handbrake doesn’t work auto hold doesn’t work aswell as the actual brakes and disc Struggled to stop the car around 20mph. He said it must be to do with the sensors I’m not a mechanic and I didn’t trust it was not sensors I stated the car broke better with no pads they had done something wrong. He then quoted me for 200 odd pound to replace all the sensors including abs sensor which has nothing to do with the handbrake I immediately thought we would take it for a second opinion. I told him over text and he then started to try and frame it that we were scamming him which there is no way they would not have seen the flashing warning lights and alarms pinging as soon as you turn it on. He is also trying to twist parts of a conversation which he apparently has on tape but won’t provide the full tape because he knows he’ll be found out for a liar he said my mrs raced out of the yard but I was walking in front of her up the path utter nonsense the mans chatting. Long story short the report and over mechanics have stated the callipers were forced open instead releasing them properly and using diagnostics to reset which is all involved replacing brakes on a Touareg which they all reassured me they could do which you would see if dean provided all the footage of our interaction unedited they also took pictures but forgot the time were all cut out bar one that says 6.55 you called me at 7.07 that the car would be ready in 15mins your guys should work for f1 at that pace but then again they know how to fix cars. I now have to spend more money on fix the damage they have caused then the works itself and the issues couldn’t have been caused by themselves anyway mechanics have stated that and when I spoke to both straight away over the phone said it wouldn’t be a sensor issue you took my car broke it quoted me for works that wouldn’t have fix the car without even looking at it and then tried to twist evidence against me total conman also click mechanics have been no help my advice pay more money and go to the dealer you’ll save in the long run

Friendly mechanic and actual work carried out seemed to be ok..... but at least 4 hours late, only communication was false! Didn’t return phone calls. Not the named mechanic.
Paid for major service, but really only got fluid and filter service, apart from the pollen filter, which wasn’t done!
Full check list shows all green marks, but no road test, no checking of anything, no greasing, no anything apart from oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter, (which was only done after I pointed out that it needed one.)
Very disappointed, have contacted Named mechanic Dean because pollen filter was not changed, have asked for a refund.

Not happy at all.

Wouldn’t know if he was friendly never spoke to him. I feel this review is reflected on the pick up, the fact my car smells of cigarettes, dirty and had used half a tank of fuel.proof given. No service book returned and the car finally taken at 1.30 but not returned until 22.00. No communication and a dirty mot certificate, so unprofessional. Maybe the work was done to a good standard but waiting for AA to inspect.
