By his own admission Deepak said this was the first time to change a coil spring on a Smart Car. He showed me what needed to be replaced and how he would do it. Job done and MOT re-test passed. Would use again without hesitation !! Thank you Deepak.

The macanic turned up a day early - which was fine by me. He carried out the work in good time and the new starter motor works fine , he was polite and good manored.
He failed to return or leave the security wheel nut remover. I have tried to contact him on numerous occasions by phone and have left messages.
He has not returned my calls or left a message.

Engine developed some fault after he did work on my car. He tried to get the faulty startermotor out from the wrong place first and was hammering it out only to realise that it's removed differently. After replacing the startermotor I had to tell him that there's also a fuse that will need replacing now as the previous one was obviously blown due to the faulty motor. Instead of putting a fuse in he put a wire in (not a good thing to do). Also, the new startermotor was not wired very well hence it kept running even after switching the car off. Deepak tried to convince me of a different issue with the car whereas clearly he did not fit this right. After a bit of waggling the cables it was fine at first. I also pointed out out to him that the engine sounds very different now after he finished his work but he wouldn't acknowledge it and was rushing to another customer. The same day the startemotor wouldn't switch off again after I drove the car and I decided to pull the wire and but by that time the running starter had already drained my car battery and I had to call RAC to help me on the road again. I went to another mechanic to get the car checked and as expected the startermotor wasn't fitted professionally and now the engine was rattling due to the hammering. Read more

Deepak arrived almost an hour late, at ten to three, but he did keep in communication. He was here for ten minutes. A split in the top radiator hose was the source of the leak. I questioned the high revving of the engine from cold 'to build pressure'. He appeared to be in a hurry, offered to put high grade tape over the split, eventually went off with the hose and clips to look for a new one. In the mean time, I realised it would be quicker and easier to order this Rover part online. It arrived this morning. My overall impression was that he wanted to be away as quickly as possible, and I consider that I am still owed 40 minutes by Click Mechanic. There were one or two other inspections that could have been carried out - including the slack hand brake. Admittedly, he did offer to come back, but the whole experience left me feeing rather nervous. Read more
