Jason was a superstar from start to finish.
I booked him to replace brake pads and to carry out a service before taking the car through its MOT. Jason advised that the brake pads were good enough for another 1000 miles so that saved me a few quid!

Ford Mondeo Diesel particulate filter (DPF) physical clean and regeneration

To be honest no, we still have the lights on the car we had 4 different diagnostic machines put on car and they all came up with the same 2 codes relating to soot build up in the deisel particulate filter. The mechanic chemically cleaned the dpf so the fault is still there. So problem still exists. He was polite and said other faults were to blame.

I don't understand the 1/5 for punctuality as appointment time was between 4 and 6 we arrived at 4.15,
With reference to the fault you have dpf pressure low/blocked. I cleaned dpf as that was what the booking was. After cleaning and carrying out a forced regen of the system reading the live data from the car the soot content was increasing therefore suggesting further issues with the vehicle so carried out diagnostic free of charge (Note code reading is not diagnostic and codes do not constitute to the actual fault) found that the egr valve has poor flow, air intake pipe is split and dpf pressure sensor is faulty.
When exhaust gas flow was checked after the clean and regen 8kpa was measured at the exhaust which is near enough where it should anything above 7kpa is considered acceptable therefore the dpf is no longer blocked and advise was given on having the other faults rectified to solve the issues.
