Very happy with repair, the mechanic was knowledgeable, advised of what I had booked in to be completed with full explanation of what needed to be done, also confirmed after and showed old parts. Communication as to timing was appreciated. Really couldn't fault this service or mechanic! As a busy working mother I will definitely be using this service again, so convenient to be able to select times that conventional garages wouldn't be able to agree.

Richard was a great bloke. Although my car was given a diagnosis of a cv joint being the issue, Richard soon found out a different problem a wish bone was at fault and had no issue in going to his supplier and swapping the parts and completed the job. Would recommend

Renault Scenic Car Won't Start Inspection

Starter motor replaced without any major issues.
2 minor complaints:
1) Wrong starter motor ordered so i had to wait longer than I should have for the work and resulted in me being late for work.
2) Charged £60+ for a '10 minute lift the bonnet and look inside without even touching anything'. This rate should have been reduced accordingly as no work was done at all, especially as the wrong starter motor was ordered making the whole job longer than necessary.

Unfortunately there were a choice of two starters with very slight differences, one was readily available and one had to be ordered in, the one available was not correct and therefore the second (that had been ordered in anticipation) was collected from a local supplier. Due to the positioning of the starter, identifying the correct starter is only possible once it has been removed. The initial diagnosis job was unsuccessful as the vehicle started, upon returning to replace the starter, further diagnosis was carried out prior to the replacement as at this point the vehicle was now failing to start. The replacement of the starter motor carried a labour charge amounting to one hour, the process itself was under estimated as a drive shaft had to be removed in order to free the starter. No additional charge was made for this extra time spent on the repair. Richard was great. Rung in the morning to let me know he could fit me in earlier than originally quoted. Kept me up to date as to where he was. Kept me informed of everything he was doing. Had to get additional parts but ran through everything and showed me exactly why it needed new parts. Could not fault him at all.
