I grew up with cars my whole life. My Dad was a mechanic, my uncle was also a mechanic as well as running a car sales business so I had a spanner in my hand from a very early age. However as I grew up I found I also had another talent which was singing so over the following 20 years I was a full time professional singer and entertainer. This enabled me lots of free time which was usually spent getting oily under one of the many cars, vans and bikes I've owned the years. I spent many years living in North yorkshire where I also worked for a local Renault franchise dealership. However in 2012 an illness from which I have now recovered ruined my voice and therefore my livelihood. I thought for a long time of what "second calling" could be. The choice was obvious. So I set up the company Mechanic on the move. I would be a mechanic. I'd worked on hundreds of cars over the years. When fixing the cars of friends and relations in the past, they had trusted me with their pride and joy because they knew me personally and knew I was more than capable. But to make the public have confidence I would have to have approval an official body so I completed my IMI courses and examinations. Mechanic on the move was born.
Because I'm a fairly new business but with plenty of personal experience, it is very important to me to create full customer satisfaction. I want you to be happy because I want you to tell your friends about my service. As an entertainer I was successful because I was confident, capable, caring and talented, but also because you are only ever really as good as your last gig. Matt was quick, efficient and on time despite the horrendous traffic. He was a real trooper working on the links through the rain. Even finished up with time enough for me to meet up with friends. Car seems much more stable.
