Job (service) was fine. But didn’t seem to be expecting me when I arrived in the appointment time and had absolutely no Covid secure measures in place.

Like the clickmechanic model and would use again, but wouldn’t accept ‘city’ again as the mechanic

Yeah good job I’m bit perplexed as to why book a time slot only to keep the car all day

My mechanic contacted me to say he’d like to come and collect the car, rather than working kerbside, and arranged to come a day earlier than originally scheduled, which was convenient, so a bonus for us. Arrived almost exactly when he said he would and returned the car same afternoon all done. Friendly and polite, and as far as I can tell, they did a good job. Saved me a lot of hassle, as I’m on my own with a child with special needs, so I didn’t need to drag him to and from a garage by taxi or bus, especially in current COVID situation. It’s been ideal for us.

I originally booked this as I wanted a mobile service. However, I ended up taking the car as City Mot had staff off sick so couldn't send someone. Hash the garage owner is a really friendly chap. The mechanic who carried out the work, although his English was poor, was very capable and didn't mind me looking on. I'd booked the Major Service which took about 1.5 hours so that was good. The garage also ran ODB diagnostics on the car which was good of them (nothing worse than driving away and getting an error code!). All went well in the end.

Overall I am happy with the service but there are 2 points I would like to raise.
1. The collection of my car cost me £50 to the driver.
2. Following 4 unsuccessful attempts to obtain a drive-shaft the garage used my own spare which cost me £34! This means I paid £84 over and above the fee charged by yourselves.
I was personally collected this morning to go and get my car back and I am quite happy with that. Good service from friendly people but dearer than expected.

Very good service, needed an extra part but was completed on same day and mechanic communicated with me well. Car even running a bit better than before too. :)
