All old parts returned for my peace of mind using a new (to me) mechanic who I didn't know.

I'd called almost every garage I could find but the earliest date offered was at least a week away, VW dealership was a 3wk wait!!!
I knew I would have to pay premium prices, I need the car daily. However, ClickMechanics price with the exact same brand of parts used by VW was still over £500 CHEAPER.
Yes, I did have lower priced quotes but not hugely lower and they couldn't do the work for a week at least anyway.
I booked ClickMechanic on a Wednesday evening. They arranged everything and the following day Paul, the mechanic messaged me & then called to confirm that he would have my car repaired on Saturday.
All parts were included in the quote, they were ordered and delivered to the mechanic for fitting when EVERY other garage said there was no chance.

It's always a concern to fork out on your car and have to use someone unknown to yourself. The clutch and flywheel would probably need changing...
The best quote I had was £850 & 10days before it could be done.
VW main dealer quoted £1950 & 3 weeks!!!
ClickMechanic quoted £1150 & could do it within a couple of days!
I wanted someone to actually assess if replacement was required, not just take my money and fit new parts (or say they did...). I needed my car for work, I could not wait a week but really hated the thought of probably having to pay over the odds using an unknown (to me) garage from the "internet" and possibly being ripped off.
I was sceptical but my concerns were unfounded. Paul did a great job, using top brand parts. He also got me back on the road over a week quicker than ANYONE I could find. He kept me informed, did what he said he would and did it all properly.
