Ford Ka Alternator replacement

just one point my alternator battery warning light still comes on after a few seconds but the alternator is charging at 14.2 volts o n my meter, do you have any idea why that may be!!, I would be interested whether I could then rectify it myself,
as of now running fine except for the warning light on the dashboard. as later I may want to go up to Shefield to my daughter , so hopefully this small problem will not be troublesome, thank you, Tom Waters.

Some of the refurbished alternators that we supply have this niggle on start up. Once the revs are increased it resets. Nothing you can fix as it's just the type of alternator used.

Volkswagen Transporter T5 Front door window winder mechanism replacement
Removed passenger side door card to reset window. Investigate fault

He couldn't fix the problem (electric windows not working) spent a long time trying to fix things and time on the phone trying to find someone who could. He managed to close both windows so my van won't be as cold as it had been.
Just paid for his time (no parts changed or used).
He did help with suggestions as to where I could try to get the windows fixed.

The job was to replace the window mechanism which unfortunately wasn't the case with this one. Possible control module fault which will need a specialist VW garage or main dealer to program.
