Volkswagen Transporter T5 Front door window winder mechanism replacement

He couldn't fix the problem (electric windows not working) spent a long time trying to fix things and time on the phone trying to find someone who could. He managed to close both windows so my van won't be as cold as it had been.
Just paid for his time (no parts changed or used).
He did help with suggestions as to where I could try to get the windows fixed.

The job was to replace the window mechanism which unfortunately wasn't the case with this one. Possible control module fault which will need a specialist VW garage or main dealer to program.

Land Rover Freelander 2 Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve replacement
Took a considerable amount of time to remove the old unit

Andy arrived on time, and set about the job of changing the EGR valve on my Freelander 2. It took considerably longer than the 2 hours Andy had been allowed, which is clearly unfair to Andy. I had called the Land Rover Dealership and they quoted 3hours labour. When the new valve was fitted and all codes were cleared, the car was still in limp mode, so the problem had not changed. I had to take the car to the Land Rover dealership to have rhe EGR valve reprogrammed, which was a considerable expense. The overall job cost more than if i had taken it to main dealer, which was unfortunate. If I had known that it would not be possible to resolve the problem I would not have used ClickMechanic.

It was very unfortunate that the new EGR valve had to be programmed to the car by the main dealer. I did my best as a Mobile mechanic. I will contact click mechanic about this as they quite rightly should have known this before allocating me the job.
