Paul began in the motor trade in 1997 as a Peugeot Technician apprentice. Since then he’s worked across multiple marques and specialist roles, including: Peugeot Technician, Renault Technician, Ford Technician, Jaguar Technician, BMW Technician, Vauxhall Technician, Volvo Technician, Citroen Technician, Nissan Technician, Green Flag and AA Patrol (real-world breakdown diagnosis). Alongside automotive work, Paul served as a Royal Navy Aircraft Engineer and later as a Princess Yachts Marine Engineer. That background brings a systems-based, methodical approach to modern vehicles — exactly what’s needed for complex electrical faults, intermittent issues and network problems.
After becoming disillusioned with bonus-driven dealer environments that encourage cutting corners, Paul built AutoFix around doing the job properly: disciplined diagnosis, clear communication, and repairs completed to a very high standard.
