I would very strongly suggest you stay very clear of Eric. I had asked before he came if he had the right equipment to test a Porsche, he said oh yes, I have exactly the same car and age, this was also a lie and I can prove that to. Told me he thinks it’s fuel injectors….. 4 days at a garage in London (I’m in Ipswich) and they say there’s nothing wrong it’s driving fine. However he had already taken £275 in cash upfront! He then says oh it’s your DPF and that will be another £390, he drives it back from London telling me it’s absolutely fine, told me the fuel injectors are fine and this can all be heard on my CCTV cameras on my driveway. I pay him for a train back, he then tells me it was more then I gave him, so I then send him more money! He showed me No proof of this. I’ve requested invoices, received nothing! This is now having a full report done and I’ve taken it to the police. My rear number plate had been removed and i have no idea why! He told me I had no congestion/ulez to pay where the garage was in London and again that was a lie and I had all the charges to pay. All in all £826 and my car is as bad as it was when it left. Eric was very presentable, happy to help, polite and extremely knowledgeable. I needed a check on a Campervan which I was about to spend my savings on and Eric was able to establish that this one was not worth buying. Thanks to him, I dodged a bullet and had he not been there to check it out for me, I would have been left with a very big nightmare!

Eric went above and beyond for me including giving me a lift to the station, as I live well out the area.
He explained in great detail everything about the vehicle and why he concluded this was to be avoided.

Having a computer diagnostic that was 15 minutes with no physical check of the engine whereby oil is in the cylinder then told I can take my car that cannot be driven to his friends garage 80 miles away
No I am not happy with what should be a full inspection of the car ,also then left in the same situation to now find a garage so total waste of time and money especially when I explained I had RAC diagnosed in the first place ..

The report was not particularly comprehensive and lacked the level of detail I would expect from paying for the top end service.

Upon collecting the vehicle, the speedometer was experiencing issues and the ECU warning light was illuminated, neither of which was adequately addressed in the report.

I have used ClickMechanic previously and have generally been satisfied with the service. However, on this occasion the inspection felt rushed and did not justify the cost of the premium-level service that was purchased.
