Stranded 200 miles from home on holiday with 2 dogs, an autistic son and a daughter dropped at Boardmasters to be collected Monday. Day one (Friday), first trip to the beach and the clutch goes shortly after leaving the holiday park. RAC called and got us back to the park. Numerous calls to every local mechanic/garage anbd mobile mechanic were met with the same response- 2 week wait and days to get the part. Tried click mechanic with little hope of getting a response late Friday afternoon and even less hope of the part being sourced.
I wake up to an email this morning to say “Chris” would be with at 11:30 to fix the car!
He had sourced a part Friday night and collected it Saturday morning. Great communication from him throughout and arrived on time. Car fixed and back on the road, currently on the beach with the dogs and all the logistics and stress gone!
Car drives brilliantly and able to enjoy the rest of our holiday.
Chris is a very knowledgeable and skilled mechanic who I can’t recommend highly enough. He literally came to the rescue when nobody else would- driving a long distance on a Saturday morning to come to our aid. Even volunteered to return Sunday if we had anymore issues.

I was down in Bude for the weekend when my car broke down — turned out the alternator had failed. I called a local garage, but they couldn’t get the part for another 7 days, meaning I’d have to come back and collect the car — not ideal when I live 3 hours away.

My sister’s boyfriend, who works with cars, recommended ClickMechanic. I booked the job and waited from around 12:30. Being in Bude, I understood there weren’t many workshops nearby with the right parts, so I didn’t expect a quick fix.

Later in the evening, I got a message that a mechanic had accepted the job. Chris was fantastic — he kept me well informed, travelled an hour to get to me on a Saturday, and spent around 3 hours completing the repair.

I’m really pleased with the service — Chris genuinely saved the trip and got me safely back on the road. I was so relieved to get home. Would highly recommend Chris — professional, dedicated, and clearly knows his stuff! Read more
