Luke was confident he was able to diagnose the problem without taking the car away.
He went away to price up the job and got back to me within the hour with no pressure what so ever to use his company.
Despite running a little late, he seemed very genuine, explained the problem to me and didn’t mind me asking questions.

First time using ClickMechanic and this is the best mechanic experience I've had in East Sussex. The price quoted was the final price. The job was booked in at midnight and my car collected by 9am the next morning. Luke was friendly with great comms and advice about extra work that might be needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Luke and the service received with ClickMechanic. Most importantly my car drives as it should and I won't have to carry our Christmas tree back from Westfield. Luke was courteous & friendly, his third party collection service let him down ( hence the low punctuality rating), his back up team turned up 5 hours later, working nights this wasn't ideal for myself as it was left to me to chase up & find out what was happening! (Hence the mid communication rating)
Had to use alternative transport to get too & from work the first evening (Lewes/Hailsham & back),
The following afternoon I was again left to call to find out whether/when & if the car was being returned/fixed that day
The final cost was higher than the original quote even though my initial enquiry to arrange the repair (clutch replacement) was quite clear it would need transportation to his workshop as couldn't be driven. (Extra for transportation to the workshop).
Clutch replaced, driving OK for now & slightly cheaper than local garages/mechanics in Hailsham.
Nice guy & would definitely use again (work quality), just needs to improve punctuality, communication (for people like myself who works nights) & more accurate pricing (money is tight currently for us all).
