He called and said he could come earlier so that was great. He did what he did quickly. Unfortunately I still have the warning light on. Sent a message asking if it was the sensor. All I got back was the computer needs to be reset. Me thinking as I have work done before they have always reset it without me saying a word about it. As I thought this is part of the job but no apparently I didn’t ask for it to be reset. So now I have to find out how to reset it myself or pay someone to do it. The point of having them come to you is for convenience but now I have the inconvenience of getting this sorted.

Hi. I would like to reassure you that all the work was carried out exactly as requested, including the replacement of the brake pads and sensor. We always aim to follow our customers’ instructions carefully and provide the best possible service.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience or confusion this situation may have caused.
Regarding the message on your dashboard, this is not related to a fault with the brake system. It is a service interval reminder, which simply indicates that a routine service is due. As this was not included in the original request, it was not reset during your visit.
Since this feature is specific to BMW and Mini Cooper vehicles, we kindly recommend mentioning it when booking in the future, have great day .

SEAT Ibiza Diesel particulate filter (DPF) chemical clean and regeneration

Absolutely terrible, diagnosed my car and told me after doing the work that what I paid for wouldn’t work, so now I am stuck with the same problem and was only told after the service that why he did was pointless.
Reply from Velea:
Hi. Following the initial inspection, the DPF soot level was measured at 13g, and after the cleaning process it was successfully reduced to 4g. This confirms that the cleaning procedure was carried out correctly and achieved its intended result.
The warning light reappearing after a few days is not related to the quality of the cleaning, but indicates an underlying issue causing the filter to load up again. This is typically due to factors such as driving conditions (short trips), EGR function, sensors, engine condition, or software modifications (remap).
DPF cleaning removes the accumulated soot, but it cannot resolve existing faults or conditions that lead to rapid reloading of the filter.
In particular, vehicles with remapped software can experience altered regeneration behavior, which may cause the DPF light to return.
For this reason, the recurrence of the issue is not caused by the cleaning itself.
Thanks
