Mercedes-Benz CLA Car Won't Start Inspection

Said he found the problem and ticked fixed it yet my car doesn’t come with that car part. Also if he made a mistake with the body part that doesn’t explain why he didn’t mention everything else wrong with the vehicle. This mechanic was with the vehicle for half an hour and when I got back the battery was dead and he didn't even manually lock the car just left it unlocked. So I’ve paid for a service that still didn’t help me and had to get another independent company to look at it.

your battery was discharged. you paid for a diagnosis. I explained to you over the phone what was wrong with the car. during the diagnosis a battery jumper is put in because sufficient voltage is needed for the diagnosis but this does not recharge the already discharged battery. thank you

Was very friendly, obviously knew what he was on about and was happy to simplify explaining the problem as I know nothing about engines. Was supposed to replace alternator but identified the problem as being the tensioner belt.
Was going to use him to change the belts but couldn't get me in until the end of the month and I rely on my car alot.

MINI Mini Countryman Brake pads replacement - rear (all)

He called and said he could come earlier so that was great. He did what he did quickly. Unfortunately I still have the warning light on. Sent a message asking if it was the sensor. All I got back was the computer needs to be reset. Me thinking as I have work done before they have always reset it without me saying a word about it. As I thought this is part of the job but no apparently I didn’t ask for it to be reset. So now I have to find out how to reset it myself or pay someone to do it. The point of having them come to you is for convenience but now I have the inconvenience of getting this sorted.

Regarding the message on your dashboard, this is not related to a fault with the brake system. It is a service interval reminder, which simply indicates that a routine service is due. As this was not included in the original request, it was not reset during your visit.
Since this feature is specific to BMW and Mini Cooper vehicles, we kindly recommend mentioning it when booking in the future, have great day .
