This is the final communication I received from the mechanic, Velea, I received today. I raised a complaint with Click Mechanic over the service I received. I received no reply from anyone from Click Mechanic, but have had to listen to the mechanic whom I complained about sending me various justifications for his work.
My main concern is the poor attitude of Velea in minimalising the issue;
“Iwas paid for the starter replacement, not the diagnosis. I don't care how much the repair cost and how much you paid that
Quote for diagnosis if you are not sure what the problem is with the car. You said you are a nurse.
If I tell you that I have a headache, do you investigate or give me a headache pill? Please, let's not make a tragedy”.

you asked for the replacement of the starter that was already successfully completed. I will not post the messages you sent me because it would not be polite on my part because they are private messages. I understand that your car had other problems. because it is a review I want to say it here so that everyone knows what to do. not to fix by guesswork and then accuse a mechanic. if you do not know what problems the car has, ask for a diagnosis, do not ask for a direct change of the part because that is what you saw on Google. the clickmechanic platform works this way. we operate what the customer asks for. if you said that your car does not start. we would come and find out what the problem is. but you asked for the replacement of the starter that was already done. after many messages with you struggling to explain to you where the request to change a part does not solve other problems. please ask for a diagnosis if you are not sure about the problem with your car. I have encountered this problem with other customers. I'm glad you asked for a diagnosis from another mechanic, that means you listened to my advice. In the future, you know what to do. As an idea, because the diagnosis is not free, some customers read on Google, draw a conclusion and replace parts because that's what they saw. You go to Google, but in reality, there can be many causes. Thank you for changing your review. You were affected because I said that you are a medical assistant and if a patient says he has a headache, you give him a headache pill, you don't do an analysis to see the cause.
