Brett was amazing with the car when he serviced my gearbox. He was up front and asked if there were any issue, told him everything I could over text and in person. He went above and beyond to help me out. Would definitely recommend him for future works. He did research prior to visiting and was honest and upfront about everything, which I liked.

He was polite but I won't think he got capacity to diagnose vehicle correctly. Somethings were missed which my ordinary mechanic has picked up without attaching that fault diagnosis machine. Report was just normal. I was expecting everything to be checked and detailed report about engine repairs or faults. But report was full of condition of the vehicle. I understand that due to age of vehicle it has scratches and dents, but I paid or bought premium service to get all faults from engine. I appreciate that it contain condition of the car but I was more concern about condition of engine, which he failed to pick up. I believe he doesn't have proper tools to diagnose these faults. So I won't recommend him or click mechanic. I regret now I would have bought Aa inspection with few more quid on top. Read more

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry you were unhappy with the outcome of the inspection.
The booking carried out was a ClickMechanic premium pre-purchase inspection, not a full strip-down engine diagnosis. I completed the required inspection process, including visual checks, road test, diagnostic scan and reporting of the faults and symptoms present at the time.
The vehicle was scanned using Ford diagnostic software and the relevant engine fault code present at the time was recorded and reported: P132B turbocharger/supercharger boost control performance. The vehicle was also noted to have oil coming from the exhaust/smoke on start-up, poor engine performance under load, oil leaks/contamination around the engine, coolant system concerns, engine noise/rattle, low-voltage related faults, inoperative air conditioning and no evidence provided to confirm wet belt/oil pump belt replacement.
Based on the inspection findings, the vehicle was clearly not reported as mechanically sound or as a clean purchase. The report highlighted multiple serious concerns and recommended further diagnosis/repair consideration before continuing with the vehicle.
A pre-purchase inspection is intended to identify and report visible/testable faults and concerns at the time of inspection. It does not include engine dismantling, internal engine diagnosis or confirming the exact internal cause of oil burning without further diagnostic work. The findings reported were significant and showed the vehicle had major mechanical concerns.
