Uqaib turned up on time had a service and mot , needed new front pads and disks all done on same day and car dropped back off by 6 pm

The price was almost doubled , they were late for an agreed pick up, that was organised about 3 weeks in advance.

Clearly charging what they want when they know your card has already been charged and they have your vehicle.

It’s always a certain group of mechanics that do this , I should have known better.

Ok. So this is the first time I have used Click Mechanic. I went online looking for an MOT, it then came up that with a service, the MOT was cheaper, so I opted for this. First confusion were my details showed a service rather than an MOT so that was rectified after the booking was done. I don't think the website is user friendly!

Prompt collection the following morning. I felt I had to keep ringing the garage for updates. In the end, they had my car 4 days. The lack of communication was concerning.

Unfortunately the car failed it's MOT. I did get a call from the mechanic with a price breakdown. I ok'd it and another day passed. At the time I didn't realise that the price quoted didn't include the initial service and MOT, or commission to Click Mechanic!!

Unfortunately the slave cylinder clutch then went when the mechanic was taking it for a RE-MOT!!

Long story short and £1138.48p later, I now have my car back. It still has an engine management light on, and needs a filter which I've been quoted £300 to £500 but the car is ok to drive for now. I'm looking to part-ex in in the next twelve months....if anyone wants to buy a 14 year old Mini Clubman!!!

I don't believe the garage charged me excessively given the amount of work they had to do to get it through it's MOT. In fact one part, he actually did at a lower price.

The mechanic did know what he was talking about and was qualified. There just needs to be better communication and updates. And a clearer understanding of what any quote entails.

Would I use Click Mechanic again? Yes probably. Having your car collected and dropped off is a big plus. I now know there is a commission added to a quoted price for any additional work, so I'd know next time what to expect. Read more
