He arrived as scheduled, during the clutch replacement he discovered that a sensor wasn't working, he came back the next day and replaced it at no extra charge.

It's possible that he accidentally broke the sensor during replacement but he could have lied and said it was already faulty or in poor shape and charged for the replacement.

Whatever the reason it shows the honesty and professionalism of the mechanic.

He has my vote.
