We had Shaun looking after our car today and he was lovely. He called to let me know when he would be there, I was able to do my school drop off, he offered to wait which i thought was very kind but I would have been done in time. Arranged a pre-inspection on a used car with Shaun. He called me beforehand to ask if there was anything in particular I wanted him to focus on, the car was modified and sold by a dealership that was 4-5 hours away, so I had my concerns.

His report was detailed where it needed to be and he managed to spot a zip-tied exhaust and some other potential red flags, whilst also acknowledging the limitations of the day - he didn't have access to a ramp, etc.

Most notable was that he answered several questions and offered advice AFTER he had received payment and the inspection was complete. I don't think it's necessarily fair to expect this, but he did it anyway.

I was happy with the report in general, as if the car was more local I may have been tempted negotiating an impulse buy that could have cost me much more in the future, but his willingness to expand on his report with any questions I had and offer advice was of most value.
