Christopher arrived on time to review and if needs be replace the EGR valve on my Zafira.
He abandoned the repair after coming across seized fasteners even though he had removed the EGR valve from its mounting.

After several days of deliberate piecemeal responses from Paul CM (presumably Chief Mechanic) whom also interspersed messages to Christopher (the attendant mechanic) though Christopher later admitted he wasn't contacted by Clickmechanic during this fake escalation. I have kept the thread and the admission above.

All garages I contacted refused to even look at my car because of the already abandoned repair.
If a Clickmechanic abandons a job, clickmechanic washes their hands of it and you find yourself on your own as they are just a booking agent.

In desperation I put out a plea on the NEXTDOOR APP and thankfully two specialist mechanics responded. One, John, works for JLR and the other Mac's Autos who was on holiday.
John came looked at the car and asked how the mechanic was able to remove the EGR without removing the bolts. It was a rhetoric question while he showed me the marks of force applied to jemmy the valve from its housing.
John removed the thermostat housing using loads of WD-40 and carefully removed the bolts. He was unable to reuse the bolts that Christopher damaged or bent and so has ordered the replacement bolts (fastenings) from Vauxhall/Peugeot and replacement Pierburg ERG valve.
I will have my car back on the road again soon but with no thanks to Clickmechanic. Read more

Christopher was very knowledgeable, let me know when he was on his way and when he arrived he explained what needed to be done, time frame and amended the order for things that didn't actually need doing.
