I booked a Service and MOT for my car with Megan of Bridge Garage via ClickMechanic, expecting the job to take the usual 2-3 hours as advertised. The car was collected promptly at 8:30 AM on Thursday, and I was assured it would be returned by the end of the day. However, as 5:30 PM came and went with no communication from the garage, I began to feel uneasy. Multiple attempts to contact them went unanswered.

Finally, around 6:00 PM, I received a call explaining that the wrong oil filter had turned up, and they asked if it would be okay to return the car first thing on Friday. I reluctantly agreed, understanding that mistakes can happen.
However, midday on Friday arrived, and I still had no word from the garage. Frustrated, I contacted ClickMechanic directly to escalate the issue. Only then did I receive any further information, learning that the oil filter had actually turned up incorrectly twice—a detail that was not communicated to me until I reached out for help.

The garage then advised through ClickMechanic that the car would be back with me by 1:30 PM on Friday, but it eventually arrived at 2:00 PM. To make matters worse, no paperwork for the MOT or Service was provided, and the service book was not stamped. I managed to get hold of the garage, and they advised that the service report should be available online. They also said they would send someone out that afternoon to stamp the service book and give me the MOT documents, however no one ever turned up and again no communication from the garage to say this despite saying they would let me know when they are on the way. The entire process has been far from satisfactory.

The delays caused me to take an additional day off work, which was both inconvenient and unnecessary had the job been completed in the time initially promised. This experience has been incredibly frustrating due to the lack of communication, significant delays, and the fact that I had to escalate the issue myself to get any answers. I understand that issues can arise, but keeping the customer informed is crucial, and in this case, the service fell well short.

I cannot recommend Megan or Bridge Garage based on this experience. Their lack of professionalism, failure to meet the expected timeline, poor communication, and incomplete paperwork have left me very disappointed.

Really happy with the service from clickmechanic.com. The car was collected on time, the communication from the repairer was excellent and the car was returned on time. There were no surprises in terms of costs and the transaction was simple with the payment being ‘held’, pending completion of the work. Would definitely use in the future and happy to recommend.
